ECA sponsors a number of social activities each year designed to bring the neighborhood together as a community - to enjoy each other's company, learn about the things we share in common, to celebrate our diversity, and just have fun. Below, you'll find examples of the many fun events we've sponsored.
ECA Semi-Annual Membership Meetings
ECA Membership Meetings are "Town Halls" in which the community gathers to learn about and discuss activities, events, and issues of interest to the community. We sometimes have guest speakers (e.g., Police or government officials, utility companies, civic groups) to address specific concerns of neighbors, or just to keep us all informed.
These meetings are held in April and October of each year, usually at the Edgemoor Club.
Halloween Parade Party
The annual Halloween Parade and Party is always a popular event. Children in costumes and parents gather at the corner of Elm and Exfair Roads and then stage a parade to the Edgemoor Club, where there's food, fun and games.
New Year's Brunch
Every year we welcome the New Year with the ECA Neighborhood New Year's Brunch. Enjoy food and drink supplied by the ECA, along with some tasty items from your neighbors. Bring something along to share if you'd like. The Brunch is usually held the Sunday after New Year's Day at the Edgemoor Club.
ECA Progressive Wine Tasting
What better way to meet neighbors and make new friends than a wine tasting party that moves from one beautiful home to another. We usually find a great assortment of wines to sample.
July 4th Parade and Party
Neighborhood children (and adults) are always thrilled to participate in the 4th of July Parade and Party. Kids get to check out a real local Fire Engine, and then have a parade (with the Fire Engine leading the way) the Edgemoor Club for a party, with snacks an refreshments for everyone.
